Thanks to the digital reimbursement platform, 0 contacts with tax offices. We exempt taxpayers from paper documents.
From March 7, 2022, any request for VAT refund will be made only online, through the Digital VAT Refund Platform. The General Directorate of Taxation makes available the guide, which guides taxpayers step by step on how to use the online reimbursement platform. One of the primary objectives that the use of the digital platform will achieve is the final elimination of physical contacts with the employees of the tax administration, eliminating any possibility of abuse, as well as the liberation of taxpayers from paper documents and waiting time.
Thanks to the automation of the system, the digital VAT refund platform will guarantee full transparency in the processing of claims in turn, enabling in real time through the reference number the tracking of the application status by the taxpayer, on his account in e-Filing. The concretization of this important project in the function of taxpayers comes as an irreversible commitment of the approach that the Tax Administration has for the modernization and digitalization of public services to taxpayers, which thanks to the online platform will save time and benefit from quality service.
